Peaceful Blossom Qigong
What is Qigong?
Qigong is an ancient practice that promotes vitality, inspiration, and peace for body, mind, and heart. In Chinese, "qi" means life force energy, and "gong" means to work with or cultivate. By practicing qigong, we consciously cultivate our own life force energy to foster deep relaxation, balance, physical strength, and mindfulness.
Qigong enlivens our energy systems through a combination of gentle, flowing movements, focused intention, and conscious breathwork. Together, these elements encourage mental clarity, peaceful presence, and overall physical well-being.
My Teachers and Approach
For many years, I have studied the foundational forms of Holden Qigong with Lee Holden, who is part of the Universal Healing Tao lineage of Grandmaster Mantak Chia. My ongoing practice is also deeply rooted in the teachings of Mimi Kuo-Deemer, whose book, Qigong and the Tai Chi Axis, is an inspiring and informative reference I highly recommend to anyone wanting to deepen their practice. I have also explored the distinct qigong styles of Daisy Lee and Jeffrey Chand.
In my sessions, we explore a blend of qigong forms, including the Five Elements/Phases, Five Animal Frolics, Energy Protection, Piercing the Veil, and Wuji Hundun.
